Shreeda Walwadkar

Shreeda has done her schooling in Air Force and Army schools in Nagpur, Delhi and Bangalore. She then finished her BSL.LLB from ILS Law College, Pune and her LLM from Department of Law, Pune University, standing 3rd.

She has completed her Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence and Forensic sciences, and in Media law. She has participated and won several moot court competitions at the State and the National level. She has interned at the DNA newspaper, covering the city beats and has interviewed different personalities and has reported on different topics such as underprivileged children who scored really well in their tenth standard, how to take care of pets during monsoon, fuel prices etc. She has also interned at the High Court of Bombay, Nagpur bench, practicing at both, civil and criminal sides. 

Pursuing her passion, Shreeda got her Yog-Shikshak certification and Diploma in Yoga from YCMOU. She has completed her YCB Level 2, (Certified Yoga and Wellness Instructor) under the Ministry of AYUSH.

She has over 2 years of experience in teaching Yoga to different age groups and has conducted sessions for the wives of Indian Army soldiers. She has also conducted free workshops on 'how to take care of yourself during the pandemic', free sessions for women's health on women's day, sessions on the shuddhi kriya of Trataka and Yoga for school going children.

Shreeda is a certified Reiki level 2 practitioner and a healer.

She has participated in several yoga challenges and has won medals and certificates in the same, including the Guinness book of world records for participating in mass moon salutations.

Volunteering at the NGO, Doorstep, Pune, she realized how important it is to take care of a child's mental health alongside quality education for the underprivileged.

She is currently pursuing dual Masters in Yoga-Shastra from Kavi Kalidas Sanskrit University and Psychology.

Shreeda was a part of the counseling team at Project MindRise under PI that catered to the emotional and mental health needs of students whose parent/parents had passed away due to COVID. She conducted around 45 free counseling sessions in a span of 3 months. In this project, she was able to help students who had suffered through grief counseling, yoga sessions for PCOD, migraine and sleep troubles and career guidance. 

Following the principles of Yoga, she believes that if one understands their own self better or has better self awareness, then life, relations and decisions can become super easy. 

Shreeda enjoys reading books, listening to music, baking and gardening. She can be described as an 'animal person' and loves to be in nature.
